The roller spacing of domestic belt conveyor is usually determined according to the empirical data, or the roller spacing is calculated by the minimum tension of the conveyor belt.
At present our country uses the DT1I type belt conveyer stipulated roller spacing is:
1) when the material transport bulk density Y = 1600kg/m3, carrying idler spacing was 1.2m;
2) when the density of transportation material is Y to 1600kg/m3, the bearing roller spacing is 1.0m;
3 for the steel belt conveyor, the bearing roller spacing is generally 1.5m;
4 return roller spacing generally take 3.0m.
Practice has proved that the above data is based on the empirical data provided by the manufacturer, and the actual operating conditions may be very different.
The basic principle is to determine the roller spacing according to the conveyor belt tension of the bearing section or the minimum tension point. Although this can simplify the design and manufacturing process, but not according to the conveyor belt tension in the length of the conveyor and the roller stress situation, reasonably determine the roller spacing. For the short distance has little effect on the belt conveyor, but for long distance belt conveyor, will greatly increase the number of roller, so that the high cost of equipment, operation resistance, power consumption, maintenance costs will increase a lot, so it is not reasonable.
